Abracadabra
by Estéban Trujillo de Gutiérrez
The word abracadabra first appeared in Quintus Serenus Sammonicus, De medicina praecepta, 2d century AD.
The term may be derived from the Aramaic avra kehdabra, “I will create as I speak.”
